Additional details.
DevSpeedTools is a collection of free, browser-based developer utilities. The tools are designed to process data entirely within your browser, meaning no data is transmitted to external servers during tool usage. This architectural decision is central to our service offering and forms the basis of these terms.
When you use our tools, you retain full ownership and control of any data you process. We make no claims of ownership over input data or output results. The tools are provided as utilities to assist with common developer tasks such as format conversion, syntax validation, encoding, decoding, and data transformation.
The service operates on a best-effort basis. While we strive to maintain high availability and accuracy, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any tool or feature at any time without prior notice. Users should maintain their own backups of critical data.
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and DevSpeedTools regarding the use of the website and its tools. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
The tools on DevSpeedTools are provided under the MIT licence where applicable. Third-party libraries used within the tools retain their original licences. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of the tools complies with applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction.
Data processing and privacy.
Because all processing occurs locally in your browser, DevSpeedTools never receives, stores, or has access to the data you input into any tool. No server-side logs of your data are created, and no cookies are set for the purpose of tracking tool usage. Analytics, if enabled, collect only anonymised page-view statistics and do not capture input content.
If you choose to contact us via email, we will retain your message solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. We will not share your email address or the contents of your correspondence with third parties, nor will we use it for marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt in.
In the event that a future version of DevSpeedTools introduces optional server-side features (such as saved configurations or user accounts), a separate privacy policy will be published describing exactly what data is collected, how it is stored, and how you can request deletion. Until then, the zero-collection architecture remains in effect.
Limitation of remedies.
If you experience a loss or damage that you believe is attributable to DevSpeedTools, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the site. Under no circumstances will DevSpeedTools, its maintainers, or contributors be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.
The aggregate liability of DevSpeedTools for any claims arising from or related to the use of the site shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — which, because the service is free, is zero. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing law and dispute resolution.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DevSpeedTools operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the use of the site shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of a mutually agreed-upon arbitration service.
You agree to resolve any disputes on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitrations. This provision applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. If any part of this clause is found unenforceable, the remaining dispute-resolution terms remain in effect.
